I live in Nebraska but about 18 years ago I traveled to Alabama and tried boiled peanuts for the first time. I loved them. For some reason the other day I was thinking about those peanuts. I got online and happened to find Boil-the-Bag. I couldn't decide which flavor to pick since I like them all, so I ordered the Sampler. Let me tell you-they are DELICIOUS! Now to be honest, I've only made the Cajun so far, but the peanuts themselves are big and good looking..
Also, they came quickly, with full instructions, and are simple to make in a crock pot!

It was so easy to do, I've heard stories about how much work and how long it takes to make these and this simplified the whole process. Just add water and walk away...some attention helps like to flip it every once in a while but for the most part it didn't get in my way. If you grew up eating these at the flea market and swap meets this is nostalgia in a bag.

I'm a repeat customer and I'm happy to share this product with everyone. Being from the Deep South and having enjoyed boiled peanuts since the '60s(yes, I'm that old)these are as good or better than I remember getting from those roadside truck farmer stands we used to look for. Sent some to my son in Seattle last year and one of his friends from Hawaii raved about them. I didn't know it, but Hawaii is big into boiled peanuts. This order is to replace that empty spot in my pantry, and to delight some church friends who grew up in San Diego, never experiencing to absolute delight of the South. Loved your peanuts. I boiled them in a slow cooker. I boiled them on high for 12 hours and turned them on low for about 4 hours. Then, I put the setting on warm. My wife and I started eating the peanuts and within a day and a half, they were gone. We noticed that the peanuts were getting a little salty so I added 2 cups of water and it cut the saltiness. Much better than the ones you get in a gas station. I will be ordering more.

We tried one sack from the Sampler so far. Simple instructions and well timed, however, we stuck them in the freezer upon arrival.
Honestly, when the peanuts were done to our softness, it took an additional 12 hours to cook right out of the freezer. And the flavor sachet was perfectly seasoned. Thanks much.

I bought the pack of 4. Also purchase them every Christmas for my kids. My only suggestion would be to add more of the cards with directions on cooking. I would like to include 1 card with each bag I give away. I gave my daughter a bag but told her I would make a copy of the way to cook them.

I've had the Cajun and Original and both have been well seasoned. My only complaint is the Cajun should have more kick for that title, I'll be sure to spice it up a little more next time.

All the flavors are seasoned perfectly! I use the instapot method and let them sit for about 4 hours in the brine after. Perfect everytime! Transfer to the crock pot and keep on warm.
